A four-part documentary series featuring chilling accounts of survivors from the Siberian prison camps in the Soviet Union

"Don't forget"
Embroidery made by a Siberian prisoner.

In this four-part documentary, former prisoners tell the epic story of Siberian imprisonment and exile. Twelve lively and lucid accounts are interwoven to vividly bring to life a mosaic picture of one of the Twentieth Century's greatest tragedies.

I Remember
The interview subjects detail their experiences from arrest, through trial, deportation, imprisonment, and, finally, release. They describe the cast of characters and the brutal system that consumed thirty million victims.

Each interview subject burns to tell his or her story and to bear witness to an injustice that has not been redressed.

I Remember
By allowing the camera to run and charged emotions to surface, a complex picture is created of the survival mechanisms which kept these men and women alive in the most difficult and extreme circumstances.

The interviews were conducted in Russia, Poland, and the United States.

The subject remains relevant because those responsible for creating and administering the Stalinist system have never been brought to justice.
